Dubai is a taxi-and-metro city spread across a highway. Hotel wifi does not help you when the pin for dinner is twenty minutes away.

Before you land

DXB and DWC are different airports. The metro serves the older corridor; most hotels still mean a taxi or Careem. Install before you land — the arrivals hall is not the place to debug an eSIM.

Getting around

The metro is clean, limited, and easy. Careem and taxis do the rest and need data to confirm the right car. Walking is a winter activity.

Practical notes
